Listen to the minister

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah has threatened to deal ruthlessly with the ‘animals’ in Ahwiaa in the Kwabre East Municipality who are causing troubles in the area.
“If you can pick a machete and slash the throat of a fellow human being, then you don’t deserve to live among human beings again, you are an animal and hence must be treated like an animal,” he said.
The comments of the Minister were in reaction to recent clashes in Ahwiaa which led to the death of one person. Two people also sustained various degrees of injuries.
