The University of Ghana Chapter of the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG) has described as unfortunate the recent outburst by the Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors concerning the University of Ghana.

“We have regretted giving Senyo Hosi the opportunity to talk to students. In fact, it was a wrong platform, a wrong time and a wrong choice of words. As someone who is an alumini of the University, you could have made a brilliant remark but you rather came and insulted teachers. We want him to know that we are thinking and changing lives,” President of GRASAG, Chris Atadikahe told Accra-based Neat FM, monitored by Adomonline.com.

Mr Hosi, at an event to mark the 70th anniversary of the university, described the management of the country’s premier university as incompetent, a rant that has gone viral.

But, Mr Atadikahe said the atmosphere the businessman chose to address his concerns about the university was inappropriate.

He said claims by Mr Hosi that older folks should be removed from the university is bad and should be disregarded.

To him, Mr Hosi only wanted to seek public attention and nothing more.
