A Political Analyst, Dr. Bonsu Osei Owusu, has called on the government to investigate claims by Deputy General Secretary of the NPP, Nana Obiri Boahene, that the presidency gave NPP GHC50 billion to conduct the party’s National Delegate Conference.
Nana Obiri Boahene has been hauled before the party’s Disciplinary Committee for claiming in an audio that the Presidency had given NPP GHC50 billion to conduct the conference among others.

He was also heard in the same recording lamenting about how he was given only GH¢5,000 of the GH¢50 billion as a member of the Resolution Committee among other complaints of unfair treatment.
The case was initially investigated by NPP’s Steering Committee but was later referred to the Disciplinary Committee for further investigations.
But Dr. Bonsu Osei Owusu says leaving the NPP’s Steering Committee alone to investigate the General Secretary is not enough.
According to him, the state must also investigate the allegations to ascertain the truth of the matter.
