Sam George, MP for Ningo Prampram

Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo Prampram, Samuel Nartey George, has rejected claims that he provoked his attacker, Mohammed Sulemana during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election violence.

He is, therefore, challenging the President and his government to provide evidence to claims that indeed he provoked the national security operative before his attack.

“Akufo-Addo and his government should show me in the report where provocation was seen. Nowhere in any of the paragraphs did the Commission use the word provocation in reference to me and so government just wants to accuse me,” he said on Asempa FM’s Ekosi Sen show, Friday.

He said the position of the government, through the White Paper, “reinforces my long-held view that the dastardly actions of January 31, 2019 had the tacit approval of those who occupy the highest office of the land.”
