It has emerged that the Chief of Gomoa Akraman in the Gomoa East District of the Central region, Nana Ahor Agyei, who was murdered by unidentified persons in his house at Gomoa Akraman, was feared by residents of the town.

District Chief Executive of the town, Solomon Darko Quam, who disclosed this, could not fathom why some people gathered courage to murder a man who is feared in the town.

Mr Quam, who says he is yet to visit the scene, is calling for calm as police commence investigations into the matter.

“What I know and what I have heard since the chief was killed was that residents feared Osebo. I don’t know if it’s because of his name and so I am shocked as to why some people gathered courage to kill him,” he told Accra based Neat FM, monitored by Adomonline.com.

The unfortunate incident happened on Monday dawn.

Bullet shells, a pestle soiled with blood and a blood-soaked shirt belonging to the deceased chief was found at the crime scene.
