The Ghana Police Service says it has not received an official complaint from popular Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy or his management following the knife attack on his wife Louisa Sateklab over the weekend.

Louisa Satekla, wife of popular Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy Saturday evening suffered a knife attack at Ashaiman moments before her husband took to the stage to perform.

Stonebwoy, born Livingstone Etse Satekla who revealed the incident in a Facebook post said it appeared he was the prime target but the unknown assailants missed him and cut his wife Louisa on her back.

According to the ‘Pull Up’ hitmaker, his wife was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

“Knife cuts Tru My Tent Missed Me As Target And Cuts wifey on her back side! Minute Before I Hit Stage! But #IstillDeliveredForMyPeople and Rushed To The hospital right after I Got Off Stage… ” the caption on a picture of his ripped tent stated.

Despite the attack, Stonebwoy mounted the stage and performed creditably in the free ‘Ashaiman to the World concert’.

Stonebwoy was joined on stage by his seeming rival, Shatta Wale, who fulfilled an earlier promise to join his fellow dancehall artiste on stage.

But the District Police Commander for Ashaiman, Superintendent Seth Tay told Adom News his is yet to receive a formal complaint from the musician.

He expressed shock at the incident since according to him, everything went on smoothly as planned.

Supt. Seth Tay noted that police men deployed to the event were able to maintain law and order.

“Our men did not report any such attack so this Stonebwoy knife attack comes to me as a surprise” he added.

This notwithstanding, Supt. Tay said they would investigate the matter if a complaint is lodged.

“We are waiting for Stonebwoy to file a complaint because the needed security was deployed to the event” he stressed.
