Supporters of Isaac Appiah Kubi are rallying behind his bid for the chairmanship of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) UK Branch, describing him as the candidate best positioned to unite the branch and strengthen its role ahead of the 2028 general elections in Ghana.
According to a statement issued by a group identifying itself as UK Voters, the upcoming election is an opportunity for members to choose a leader with a proven track record rather than one offering campaign promises.
The group credited Appiah Kubi with building the NPP UK West London Chapter into one of the branch’s strongest and fastest-growing chapters, saying his leadership has been marked by unity, reconciliation and grassroots mobilisation.
They also highlighted his contributions to the party both in the United Kingdom and Ghana, noting that he has participated in grassroots campaigns and consistently defended the NPP on major media platforms.
Supporters outlined what they described as five key reasons for backing Appiah Kubi’s candidature.
They said he has demonstrated strong organisational leadership by mobilising members across various UK chapters and prioritising the establishment of effective party structures, including a credible membership drive, active youth and women’s wings, and regular branch meetings.
The group further stated that Appiah Kubi is committed to strengthening ties between the NPP UK Branch and the party in Ghana by increasing the diaspora’s contribution to party financing, election campaigns and policy development.
Youth and women’s empowerment also forms a central part of his agenda, according to the supporters, who said he plans to create more opportunities for young professionals and students while promoting greater participation of women in leadership positions within the branch and other NPP-affiliated groups. They added that he has invested in mentorship and networking programmes for Ghanaians living in the UK.
On party unity, the supporters said Appiah Kubi has consistently promoted the message of “One NPP UK, One Voice” as part of efforts to bridge divisions within the branch and build a united front ahead of the 2028 elections.
They also argued that his influence has contributed to increased membership, improved communication and a stronger profile for the NPP within the UK political and media landscape.
According to the group, Appiah Kubi’s vision for the branch includes improving member welfare, empowering young people, strengthening party structures, ensuring financial sustainability and positioning the UK branch to play a more significant role in issues such as diaspora voting, investment and Ghana-UK relations.
One supporter, quoted in the statement, described Appiah Kubi as a leader whose record speaks for itself.
“Leadership is about results, not just promises, and Appiah Kubi has already proven himself,” the supporter said.
The supporters concluded by urging eligible members of the NPP UK Branch to vote for Appiah Kubi, describing him as a unifier, organiser and leader capable of making the branch more active and influential both within the Ghanaian diaspora and the party in Ghana.
