Award-winning hiplife musician, Nana Kwaku Okyere Duah popularly known as Tic Tac has rubbished reports circulating in the media that he apologized to GHOne TV for walking out of a live TV interview.
The ‘Philomena’ hitmaker walked out of a live interview on GHOne TV while answering to questions about his feud with Shatta Wale.
He felt offended when Shatta Wale’s video was shown on the screen because he was on set for the interview and felt his videos were to be shown instead.
After the incident, it was reported that Tic Tac had apologized to his fans and management of GHOne TV through a Facebook live video for walking off the live Television show.
But in an interview with Lexis Bill on Behind the Fame on Joy FM, Tic Tac said that he did not apologize to GHOne TV as has been reported.
“I did not apologize to GHOne. I have fans and they believe in me so I had to apologize to them. What I did was right. I wouldn’t have apologized but had to for the fans. I believe in what I did and I will stand by it. It’s exactly what I felt. I want them to put respect on my name…” he said.
The veteran highlife artistes further indicated that he awaits an official apology from the TV station even though the hostess and producer of the show have apologized to him.
“They [GHOne] haven’t apologized officially but the hostess and producer have apologized to me. I still want an official from the station. That should be the norm.
“For me, I believe so strongly that its right and I would not apologize…” he maintained.
