Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona East in the Central Region, Queenster Maame Pokuah Sawyerr, has supported a branch executive of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Kwesimintim Constituency of the Western Region to undergo two successful plastic surgeries.
The donation helped Mary Ahafia to undergo two successful plastic surgeries – to open her jaws and the second to close the temporal hole on her cheek used for eating – at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
The operations will be carried out in a few days.
The presentation was made to the beneficiary through the Constituency Executives by a group identified as Obaatanpa team.
The Constituency Secretary, Nicholas Yankey who received the donation on behalf of the victim thanked the Legislator for her kind gesture.
The family of the beneficiary on their part showed their appreciation by asking for God’s blessings for Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyerr.
The donation was made to the victim after an NDC member in Kwesimintim constituency appealed to the MP for support on her Facebook wall.
