Adom TV’s Gospel Rock Show takes a temporal break due to the ban on drumming and noise-making imposed by the Ga Traditional Council (GTC) in some parts of Accra.

The break, according to the show’s producer, Raymond Koomson, is to respect the GTC’s directive on noise-making within the period stated.

The GTC has placed a ban on drumming and noise-making in some parts of the traditional area, starting from May 14 to June 14, 2018.

The one-month-long ban is a custom that precedes the celebration of the Homowo Festival of the chiefs and people of GA Mashie.

A statement from the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) confirmed the date for the ban.

According to Mr. Koomson the show will resume right after the ban but has apologised to patrons of the show for any inconveniences caused them.
