Adom TV screen diva who is also a presenter on Adom FM, Afia Amankwaah Tamakloe, has picked the Best Female News Anchor and Best TV Host award at the Ghana Actors and Entertainers Awards 2019.
The Adom TV news anchor who is also the host of Nkwa Hia on Adom TV and Nyinsen Ne Awo) on Adom FM was recognized for her tremendous contribution to Ghana’s media fraternity.
The news anchor thanked her bosses and her crew for believing in her and helping her to come this far.
“I thank God almighty, my bosses, Kwasi Twum, Abdulai Awudu, Abena Yiadom, Ricky Anokye and all who have been part of my media journey for the opportunity to serve.
“I also thank my production crew who do all the hard work behind the scenes for me to enjoy the glory on your TV screens,” she said.
The emotional Afia Amankwaah also said the Award will motivate her and the crew to forge ahead with the good work, urging viewers and listeners to continue watching and listening to her shows and all other programmes on Multimedia platforms.
The maiden edition of the Ghana Actors and Entertainers Award was held at the Mensvic Hotel in Accra.
It was graced by veteran news anchor Oheneyere Gifty Anti, Adom TV and Adom FM’s Akumaa Mama Zimbi, good old Ghanaian musician Nana Kwame Ampadu, Kumi Guitar, Kobby Rana and many others who all picked awards in various categories.
Deputy Works and Housing Minister Barbara Ayisi was the guest of honour of the programme. e
