The re-elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairman for Adansi Asokwa, Kwame Owusu, has called on party members to unite following the party’s internal executive elections.
Addressing members after the polls, Chairman Owusu urged both winners and unsuccessful candidates to put the contest behind them and work together towards the party’s ultimate goal of winning the 2028 general elections.
He stressed that internal elections should strengthen, rather than divide, the party, adding that unity would be crucial to the NPP’s efforts to reclaim political power.
Mr Owusu acknowledged that the party is currently facing challenges in the constituency after losing key positions, including the parliamentary seat, describing the situation as one that requires renewed commitment from members.
Despite the setback, he expressed confidence in the newly elected executives, saying they have the capacity to rebuild the party and reconnect with the grassroots.
He thanked polling station executives for the confidence reposed in the new leadership and pledged to work closely with all stakeholders to strengthen the party’s structures.
According to him, preparations for the 2028 elections must begin immediately if the NPP is to regain the constituency and contribute to the party’s national electoral success.
“The work for 2028 begins today,” Chairman Owusu told party supporters, urging members to remain focused and united behind the common objective of returning the NPP to power.
