Newly elected National 2nd Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, has pledged to work with the party’s leadership to secure victory in the 2028 general elections.

Mr Boakye expressed gratitude to delegates for electing him to the position during the party’s National Delegates Conference held in Kumasi.

In a statement issued on Sunday, October 4, he thanked God for what he described as a successful conference and pledged his commitment to the NPP.

“After serving our party as National Youth Organizer and National Organizer over the last 8 years, I take promotion with great honour and pledge to join forces with our able leadership in ensuring that by the grace of God, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is elected President of the Republic of Ghana in the 2028 General elections,” he said.

Mr Boakye said the party had a clear task ahead and would work to present what he described as a formidable front to wrestle power from the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“Our job is clearly cut out for us and we would work to present a formidable front that will wrestle power from this repressive NDC government,” he stated.

He also congratulated the newly elected national officers and called for unity and collaboration as the party prepares for the next general election.

“To fellow elected officers, congratulations. Let’s work together to deliver power for the NPP,” he said.
