New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Organiser hopeful, Emmanuel Korsi Bodja, has stated that he is fully prepared to take on the responsibility of organising and restructuring the party at the national level.
He said his decision to contest the position is the result of careful planning and years of experience within the party, particularly his work as a regional organiser.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, Mr Bodja said he does not consider the transition from regional organiser to national organiser a major leap, insisting that his experience has prepared him adequately for the task.
“It is something I have carefully planned and where I want to be at a certain stage in my life. I don’t see moving from regional organiser to national organiser as a big jump. I am fully prepared for the task,” he said.
Mr Bodja said he is among the most experienced candidates in the race and has built significant visibility and recognition within the NPP.
He pledged to address what he described as leadership and structural challenges confronting the party if elected.
“I will fix the leadership and structural issues we have in the party,” he said.
According to him, the NPP needs a National Organiser who can effectively mobilise supporters, develop strategies, build networks and use modern technology to strengthen the party’s grassroots structures.
“We need an effective organiser that can mobilise, strategise, be creative and build relationships with networks across the country,” he said.
He added that understanding and using online tools should form part of modern political organising, particularly in mobilising and engaging supporters.
Mr Bodja cited his experience as Regional Organiser in the Volta Region, where he said he implemented strategies that contributed to electoral victories for the party.
He expressed confidence that the experience gained at the regional level would enable him to deliver more if given the mandate to serve as National Organiser.
“As a regional organiser in the Volta Region, I have been able to implement things that have led the party to victory, and I am sure given the opportunity as national organiser, there is a lot more that I could do to bring the NPP back to power,” he said.
Mr Bodja described himself as a young leader with vision, creativity and flexibility, saying these qualities would help him introduce new ideas into the party’s organisational structures.
“I am that young man filled with vision, creativity and flexibility. I am that organiser that will make the party an envy to others,” he said.
He appealed to NPP delegates to support his candidature and pledged to serve them diligently if elected.
