The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested a 27-year-old TikTok content creator over videos showing him hugging, carrying, swimming and bathing with women.
The suspect, Ukasha Yahaya, popularly known as UK International, was arrested after the Hisbah Board received intelligence that he had entered Kano.
Hisbah Deputy Commander General, Dr Mujahid Aminuddeen, confirmed the arrest on Thursday, saying Yahaya is currently in custody as investigations continue.
Yahaya, who hails from Gusau in Zamfara State but resides in Abuja, reportedly admitted during questioning that he could not remember the number of videos he had produced featuring women.
According to him, some of his videos had attracted between one million and three million views, with the women allegedly approaching him because of his work as a content creator.
Yahaya also admitted that his mother and others had repeatedly warned him against producing such content.
When asked whether he would involve his sisters in similar videos, he said they were all married and disclosed that he had been considering quitting such content as he prepares for marriage.
He apologised for his actions and promised not to repeat them.
Dr Aminuddeen said the suspect would be taken to court after investigations are completed.
He also warned young people against producing TikTok content that violates the moral and religious standards enforced by the Hisbah Board.
