The weekend’s fixtures, played between Saturday and Sunday, produced goals, late drama and a standout individual display from FC AshantiGold’s David Gyamfi, who scored the first hat-trick of the new season.

Berekum Chelsea defeated Dreams FC 3-1 after Seidu Abubakar and Jonah Attuquaye gave them a two-goal cushion before Marvin Owusu sealed victory late on despite Abdul Razak Salifu’s reply for Dreams.
Karela United also came from behind to beat Bechem United 3-1, with Zaidan Mohammed cancelling out Kelvin Appiah’s opener before Jonas Wisdom Manyina and Joseph Bekoe completed the turnaround.
Medeama SC’s home game against Port City FC was postponed because of the club’s involvement in the CAF Champions League.
After two rounds of matches, Hearts of Oak, FC Samartex, FC AshantiGold and Asante Kotoko occupy the league’s top four places, while Medeama, Bibiani Gold Stars and Dreams FC currently sit in the relegation zone.
