New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Communications Director hopeful, Dennis “Miracles” Aboagye, says his primary objective is to help the party’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, win the 2028 presidential election and increase the party’s representation in Parliament.
Mr Aboagye said he has no political ambition beyond achieving those objectives, insisting that his focus as National Communications Director would be to mobilise the party’s resources and effectively communicate its message to voters across the country.
“My objective is to see Bawumia become President and for the NPP to win more seats in Parliament. I have no ambition beyond that,” he said.
Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, Mr Aboagye praised Dr Bawumia for what he described as a respectful approach to politics.
“Bawumia has changed how politics is done in Ghana and he has done it with respect. You can never get him disrespecting or insulting his political opponents. He is very humble,” he stated.
He said, if elected, he would mobilise all available resources and energy within the party to ensure that Dr Bawumia’s message reaches every voter in Ghana.
“As Communications Director, I will mobilise all the resources and energy that the party has to send Bawumia’s message to every voter in the country,” he said.
Mr Aboagye also acknowledged the changing nature of Ghana’s electorate, saying voters have become more sophisticated and are increasingly demanding credible information before making political decisions.
He therefore promised that the NPP’s communications strategy under his leadership would focus on facts rather than unnecessary political attacks and internal bickering.
“The Ghanaian voter has become sophisticated, and that is why together with party people, we will base our conversations on facts. We won’t allow distractions through unnecessary bickering. We will state the facts as they are and leave the decision to the Ghanaian voter,” he said.
According to him, the NPP must deploy innovative and effective communication strategies to reach voters in every part of the country.
He said he would approach the task with commitment and passion, while ensuring that the party’s message resonates with the electorate.
“We will do it with all the passion we have and deploy all the strategy to make sure we reach every Ghanaian voter,” Mr Aboagye added.
