Asante Kotoko are the only Ghana Premier League club to have met all of the Ghana Football Association’s club licensing requirements without receiving any sanctions ahead of the 2026-27 season.

The GFA’s Club Licensing Committee has approved 14 of the 18 proposed match venues for the new campaign, which begins on 5 September.

Committee chairman Dr Kwame Baah-Nuako said Kotoko were the only club to fully comply with the regulations during the licensing process.

“Asante Kotoko is the only club that met the club licensing regulations and was approved without sanctions,” he told Asempa FM.

Kotoko will continue to play their home matches at Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

The Porcupine Warriors begin their league campaign with an away fixture against newly promoted Debibi United when the season gets underway.
