Veep commissions five envoys for diplomatic missions

Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has commissioned five newly appointed High Commissioners and Ambassadors Designate to represent Ghana in Sierra Leone, Norway, Kuwait, Nigeria and Niger.

The Vice President administered the Oath of Office, Allegiance and Secrecy to the envoys and charged them to advance Ghana’s diplomatic, economic and national interests.

She urged the envoys to strengthen Ghana’s engagement with citizens abroad while deepening the country’s international partnerships.

Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang assured the envoys of government’s support and encouraged them to remain guided by the performance standards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) introduced by President John Dramani Mahama.

She further urged them to approach their assignments with professionalism, integrity and a clear sense of purpose.

According to her, the envoys have an important responsibility to help create meaningful opportunities for the Ghanaian people while advancing Ghana’s interests on the international stage.
