The Management of Ho Teaching Hospital has issued a public warning over a fake recruitment exercise targeting job seekers, stressing that the facility is not recruiting nursing staff.
In a statement issued on July 30, the hospital said it had become aware of false information circulating on various platforms claiming that nurses were being recruited and that applicants were required to pay money to secure employment.
Management described the claims as fraudulent and urged the public to disregard them.
According to the hospital, any individual or group claiming to be recruiting on its behalf is acting without its knowledge or authorisation.
It further clarified that the Office of the Chief Executive Officer does not charge, request or receive money from anyone in connection with recruitment or employment.
The hospital also stressed that no staff member, agent, intermediary or any other person has been authorised to collect money on its behalf for recruitment purposes.
Management warned job seekers to remain vigilant and avoid making payments to individuals promising employment at the hospital, noting that such acts constitute fraud and will be reported to law enforcement agencies for investigation and possible prosecution.
The hospital encouraged anyone who is approached to pay money or becomes aware of suspected extortion, impersonation or other fraudulent activities being carried out in its name to report the matter immediately.
Ho Teaching Hospital assured the public that all future recruitment opportunities would be announced only through its official communication channels and other recognised media platforms.
