The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that teachers who successfully passed the recent promotion examinations will begin receiving their promotion letters from August 15, 2026.
In a statement, the Service said it is currently finalising the preparation of the promotion letters for all qualified teachers.
According to GES, the letters will be dispatched to the various Regional Education Directorates from August 15 for onward distribution to the successful candidates.
The Service further disclosed that all qualified teachers will be placed on their appropriate salary scales by August 31, 2026, completing the promotion process.
Management expressed appreciation to teachers and staff for their patience and cooperation while the process is being finalised.
The update is expected to bring relief to thousands of teachers who passed the promotion examinations and have been awaiting official confirmation of their promotions and placement on their new salary grades.
