The Mobile Money Agents Association of Ghana (MMAAG) has announced the expiration of the tenure of its current National Executive Administration, paving the way for the election of new leaders.

In a press release jointly signed by the Board Chairman, Joshua Edmundson, and the Board Secretary, Eric Asamoah, on Thursday, July 16, the Association’s Governing Board said the tenure of the current national executives officially ended on the same day in accordance with the Association’s constitution and governance framework.

The Board said it has initiated the necessary processes to conduct elections to constitute a new National Executive Administration.

It explained that pending the successful conduct of the elections and the swearing-in of the newly elected executives, interim management arrangements would be communicated to members and stakeholders through official correspondence.

As part of the transitional arrangements, the Board directed that all official communications, media enquiries and matters concerning the Association be channelled through its designated communications representative, Martin McAdams Azamah.

According to the statement, Mr. Azamah, who has been serving as the Founder of the Association, will act as the Board’s official communications representative until further notice.

The Board expressed appreciation to Mobile Money Fintech Ltd for its continued support and cordial relationship with the Association.

It also expressed confidence in sustaining the partnership with the incoming National Executive Administration after the elections.
