The Western North Regional Office of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has joined the nationwide clean-up exercise, reaffirming its commitment to promoting environmental sanitation and healthy communities.
The exercise was led by the Western North Regional Director of the NHIA, Frank Duku, with support from the Regional Public Relations Officer, Samuel Cudjoe, and other members of staff across the region.

As part of the exercise, the team cleaned selected public spaces, removing refuse and helping improve sanitation in support of the government’s National Flood Aftermath Clean-up Exercise.
Speaking after the exercise, Mr Duku urged Ghanaians to make cleanliness a daily habit instead of limiting it to organised campaigns.

He stressed that a clean environment plays a vital role in preventing the spread of diseases, improving public health and enhancing the quality of life in communities.
The Regional Director also encouraged residents to take personal responsibility for sanitation by properly disposing of waste and maintaining clean surroundings.

The NHIA said its participation reflects the Authority’s commitment to supporting national initiatives that promote healthy living, adding that environmental cleanliness remains an important component of disease prevention and overall healthcare.
