Residents of Sefwi Seyerano in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region have been thrown into mourning following the fatal shooting of two community members during a police operation.
The victims were allegedly shot by personnel from the Sefwi Wiawso Divisional Police Command after some residents reportedly resisted the arrest of a suspected drug peddler.

Emotional scenes unfolded in the community as grieving residents wept while the bodies of the deceased were conveyed to the morgue at Sefwi Asafo.
Family members and residents expressed shock over the incident and called for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
However, three other people are battling for their lives at St. John of God hospital after been hit by stray bullets during the police’s operation.
Meanwhile, the Twafohene of Sefwi Sayerano, Nana Kwasi Sampa, has called on the aggrieved youth to remain calm as they will follow up on the case to seek justice for their victims.
