No eye was dry when Ghanaian musician Eugene Baah, popularly known as Choirmaster, paid a heartfelt tribute to his late wife, Beverly Afaglo at her memorial service in Virginia.
Choirmaster reflected on the deep bond they shared, saying Beverly was not only his wife but also his best friend, soulmate, the mother of their two daughters, and the absolute love of his life.
He read that while many people admired Beverly for her accomplishments as an actress, he had the privilege of knowing the compassionate and loving person behind the public image.
According to him, even during her most difficult moments, Beverly never allowed her faith in God to waver. He described her as a woman of grace and unwavering courage who faced every challenge with remarkable strength and dignity.
Drawing inspiration from the biblical passage in 2 Timothy 4:7, he said Beverly had fought a good fight, completed her race and remained steadfast in her faith until the very end.
He expressed gratitude for the love, sacrifices, prayers as well as beautiful family they built together, saying those memories would remain with him forever.
Although her absence has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of their family, Choirmaster said he finds comfort in believing that Beverly is finally at peace with God.
He added that he and their two daughters would continue to cherish her memory, holding onto the love she gave them throughout her life.
Beverly Afaglo passed away on May 24, 2026, just four days before what would have been her 43rd birthday.
