The Executive Chairman of Ghana Link Network Services Limited, Dr. Nick Danso Adjei, has called for lasting peace and unity between the Bono and Ashanti traditional areas, stressing that development can only thrive in an atmosphere of harmony.
Speaking during the 60th birthday celebration of the Paramount Chief of Dormaa, the Dormaahene, where he served as Chairman, Dr. Danso Adjei said all stakeholders must focus on strengthening bonds between the two traditional areas rather than encouraging division.
“My main focus is to see peace, unity, and development between Bono and Ashanti. We are one people, and there is no benefit in allowing misunderstandings or rivalry to divide us. Development flourishes where there is peace,” he stated.
He revealed that he has engaged several traditional leaders on the issue and is encouraged by the positive responses received.
“I have had the opportunity to speak with many chiefs, and they are all in support of the vision of promoting peace and unity. This gives me confidence that together we can build stronger relationships among our traditional authorities,” he said.
Dr. Danso Adjei also appealed to bloggers, vloggers, and social media commentators to exercise responsibility in their reportage and avoid content that could create tension among chiefs and traditional institutions.
“I urge all bloggers and content creators, especially those within Bono and Ashanti, to desist from actions and publications that can create misunderstanding among chiefs. We must use our platforms to promote peace and unity, not division,” he emphasized.
According to him, traditional leaders remain key pillars of peace and development, and every effort must be made to support initiatives that bring people together.
He further called on the youth to respect traditional authority and contribute positively to efforts aimed at preserving harmony among the various traditional areas.
The business magnate made the call as part of activities marking the Dormaahene’s 60th birthday celebration, underscoring the need for peace and cooperation as the foundation for progress in both Bono and Ashanti regions.
