Ghana’s Black Maidens will take on Senegal in the third and final round of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers after sealing an emphatic victory over Liberia.

The Black Maidens progressed with an impressive 8-0 aggregate triumph following dominant performances across both legs of their second-round encounter.

Ghana laid the foundation for qualification with a commanding 6-0 victory in the first leg before completing the job with a 2-0 win over Liberia on Saturday at the SKD Sports Complex in Monrovia.

Seidatu Wahab and Juliana Gyekyewaa were on target in the return fixture, both scoring superb free-kick goals to cap another convincing display and confirm Ghana’s passage to the decisive stage.

The Black Maidens will now shift focus to a crucial showdown against Senegal, with the first leg scheduled for July 3-5 and the return fixture set for July 10-12, 2026.

The winner over the two-legged tie will secure qualification to the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

Ghana heads into the final qualifying round brimming with confidence, having scored 16 goals and conceded none in four qualifying matches so far.
