Ghana has been officially announced as the host country for the 2027 World Cocoa Foundation (WCF) Partnership Meeting, marking a major milestone for the country’s cocoa sector.
The announcement was made by Deputy Finance Minister Thomas Ampem Nyarko during the official launch of the event held in Accra in collaboration with the Ghana Cocoa Board and the World Cocoa Foundation.
The global meeting is scheduled to take place from 16th to 19th March 2027 at the Kempinski Gold Coast City Hotel in Accra under the theme “From Origin to Global Resilience.”

The event is expected to bring together key stakeholders across the global cocoa value chain to deepen discussions on farmer livelihoods, sustainability, and climate-smart agricultural practices.
Organisers say the meeting will also promote shared accountability across the cocoa industry, with a strong focus on strengthening resilience from production at origin through to global markets.
Ghana’s selection as host is seen as a recognition of its long-standing role as one of the world’s leading cocoa producers and a key player in shaping global cocoa policy and sustainability conversations
