Tension has erupted at the palace of the Wassa Amenfi Traditional Council following an alleged attack on the Abusuapanin of Wassa Moseaso and some members of the royal family by certain chiefs within the traditional area.
According to reports, the incident occurred at the Omanhene’s palace during a meeting involving traditional leaders and members of the royal family.
The meeting reportedly turned chaotic after a misunderstanding, which escalated into a physical confrontation and caused confusion within the palace premises.
The Abusuapanin of Wassa Moseaso, Kwabena Fosu, together with some royals, were allegedly assaulted, leaving residents shocked and concerned about rising tensions within the traditional setup.
Some of the affected royals and opinion leaders have also expressed their pain over the incident and called for justice and peace to be restored.
Meanwhile, community members are appealing to the relevant authorities and traditional elders to investigate the matter thoroughly and ensure lasting peace among all factions involved.
