Antoine Semenyo has been shortlisted for the 2025/26 Premier League Player of the Season award following an outstanding campaign split between AFC Bournemouth and Manchester City.

The Ghana international enjoyed a breakthrough season, scoring 16 goals and providing four assists in 35 Premier League appearances.

Antoine Semenyo impressed during the first half of the campaign at Bournemouth, where his pace, strength and attacking versatility made him one of the league’s standout performers before securing a January move to Manchester City.

Since joining Pep Guardiola’s side, the 25-year-old has continued his fine form and played an important role in City’s title challenge.

He made an immediate impact at the Etihad Stadium, scoring three goals and registering one assist in five Premier League matches in February to claim his first EA SPORTS Player of the Month award.

Semenyo’s ability to operate across several attacking positions has been a major asset throughout the season. He has featured effectively on either wing, through the middle as a striker and occasionally in midfield, earning praise for his energy, physicality and tactical flexibility.

The Ghanaian forward is among eight players nominated for the prestigious individual honour alongside Bruno Fernandes, Gabriel Magalhães, Morgan Gibbs-White, Erling Haaland, David Raya, Declan Rice and Igor Thiago.

The Premier League is expected to announce the winner next week.
