Former Ghana international Albert Adomah has urged the Black Stars to approach every opponent with caution and respect ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ghana, four-time African champions, will be making their fifth appearance at the global showpiece after being drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia and Panama.

Speaking to 3Sports, Adomah admitted the group presents a difficult challenge but encouraged the team to compete with confidence rather than fear.

The former Aston Villa winger warned against complacency, noting that teams considered underdogs often produce their best performances on the biggest stage.

“As players, the team you think you should beat easily is often the one that produces its best performance against you,” he said.

“That is why Ghana must be very cautious and respect every opponent.”

The Black Stars will open their World Cup campaign against Panama on June 17 before facing England on June 23. They will conclude their group-stage matches against Croatia on June 27.

Meanwhile, Ghana will fine-tune preparations with an international friendly against Mexico later this month before rounding off their build-up against Wales on June 2.
