Ghanaian gospel musician Yaw Siki has attributed some of his early exposure to alcohol to influences within his family environment.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz, the then secular musician explained that certain actions by his mother and brother, though not intentional, played a role in shaping some of the decisions he made while growing up.

According to him, his mother would often send him to buy alcohol, which eventually sparked his curiosity.

“My mum used to send me to buy alcohol, and out of curiosity, I started drinking just to see how it is,” he said.

He clarified that his family did not intend to lead him into such habits, noting that they likely considered their actions normal at the time.

Yaw Siki added that these early experiences contributed to some of the challenges he faced some years ago.
