Callum Wilson scored a dramatic-stoppage time winner as West Ham boosted their survival hopes with victory against Everton.
The Hammers had looked set to drop back into the relegation zone after Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall cancelled out Tomas Soucek’s opener with just two minutes of normal time remaining.
By that time, relegation rivals Tottenham were winning at Wolverhampton Wanderers – a result that, coupled with a West Ham draw, would see Spurs move out of the bottom three.
But Wilson – who had been introduced as an 81st-minute substitute – sent the London Stadium wild when he coolly slotted in.
With Spurs also winning their game, West Ham remain two points above the relegation zone. The win felt significant as the Hammers showed the battling qualities they will need in their fight against the drop.
