Traders in Juaboso in the Western North Region have been temporarily relocated to make way for the construction of the government’s 24-hour economy market project.

The relocation, carried out by the Juaboso District Assembly, is intended to create space for work to begin on the new market facility, which is expected to boost commercial activity and support the local economy.

At the new site, trading activities have resumed as work prepares to take off at the main project location.

Speaking to Adom News, some of the affected traders expressed their readiness to cooperate with the Assembly throughout the construction period, noting that they are hopeful the completed market will improve business conditions.

The District Chief Executive, Alexander Adu Quist, commended the traders for their cooperation and understanding, describing their support as key to the smooth execution of the project.

He assured that the 24-hour market, when completed, would enhance trading opportunities, create jobs, and contribute to the economic growth of the district.
