Ampem Darkoa produced a spirited second-half fightback to defeat Hasaacas Ladies 2-1 and lift the 2025/26 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League title at the Swedru Stadium.

Hasaacas Ladies made the brighter start and were rewarded in the 38th minute when Abiba Issah broke the deadlock with a well-taken goal. Their early dominance earned them a deserved 1-0 lead heading into the break after a closely contested first half.

However, the tide turned after the restart as Ampem Darkoa emerged with renewed intensity and purpose. Their persistence paid off in the 57th minute when Okyere Priscilla calmly slotted home the equaliser to bring her side back into the contest.

Buoyed by the goal, Ampem Darkoa seized control of the game and pushed forward in search of a winner. Their efforts were rewarded in the 83rd minute when Gloria Adomako Ameaa found the decisive goal, completing a remarkable turnaround.

Hasaacas Ladies mounted late pressure in a bid to restore parity, but Ampem Darkoa held firm through the closing stages to secure a hard-fought victory and seal the league crown.
