The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has taken delivery of a new ultra-modern audio-visual information van to enhance public education and community engagement across the metropolis.

The vehicle, provided by the Information Services Department (ISD), is equipped with advanced communication tools including a high-powered public address system, mounted column speakers, additional loudspeakers, and an audio mixer.

It also features dual LED screens mounted on both sides, enabling the display of videos, graphics, educational materials, and live broadcasts during outreach activities.

The mobile unit is further fitted with internal WiFi, broadcast feed integration, and online streaming capabilities, allowing it to receive and transmit live government broadcasts, national television feeds, and emergency information in real time.

Receiving the van, the Mayor of Accra, Michael Kpakpo Allotey, expressed appreciation to the government and the ISD, noting that the intervention addresses a longstanding gap in the Assembly’s communication infrastructure.

He assured that the Assembly would put the vehicle to good use and maintain it properly, stressing that it is strictly for official purposes and not for private or commercial use.
