Deputy Chief Executive of the Minerals Commission, Ellembelle KK, has attributed recent praise of Ghana’s economy by international institutions to the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama.
Speaking on Accra-based UTV, he said the current administration has demonstrated strong economic management, leading to recognition from global bodies such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
According to him, the government’s approach to governance, including operating with a relatively lean number of ministers, has contributed to efficiency and improved economic outcomes.
He argued that within a short period in office, the Mahama-led administration has been able to stabilise and improve the economy, contrasting it with what he described as years of mismanagement under the previous government.
Ellembelle KK noted that Ghana’s current recognition on the global stage is rooted in what he described as economic prudence and fiscal discipline.
“The praise from the World Bank and IMF is a result of good leadership and sound economic management under President Mahama,” he added.
He maintained that the administration’s policies have positioned the country on a path of recovery and growth.
