The board and management of Asante Kotoko have issued an apology to supporters following growing concerns over the club’s recent performances and the absence of a substantive head coach.
In an official statement signed by Communications Director Sarfo Duku (Esq.), the club acknowledged the frustration of fans, admitting that recent results have fallen short of expectations and do not reflect the standards associated with the Porcupine Warriors.
“The board and management acknowledge the concerns raised by our supporters regarding the absence of a substantive head coach and the team’s recent poor results,” the statement read, adding that they fully understand the expectations placed on the club.

The statement further confirmed that efforts are underway to appoint a permanent head coach whose philosophy aligns with the club’s long-term ambitions. Management appealed for patience as they work to identify the right candidate to lead the team forward.
Kotoko also apologised for the disappointing performances in recent matches, assuring supporters that decisive steps are being taken to restore the club to its traditional competitive level.
“The future of this club remains our top priority, and we are committed to making the right choices moving forward,” the statement added, while urging continued loyalty and support for the remainder of the season.
The announcement comes at a challenging period for the Kumasi-based giants, who have struggled for consistency in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.
Following their 4-0 defeat to Medeama SC last Sunday, Asante Kotoko will now turn their attention to their Matchday 30 clash against Hohoe United before travelling to face Dreams FC in Matchday 31.
