A fire outbreak has destroyed a wooden structure and its contents at Nyohini near the Nyohini Roundabout in Tamale in the Northern Region.
The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when the blaze broke out around 2:19 a.m.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service at the Sagnarigu Municipal Fire Station responded swiftly after receiving a distress call and arrived at the scene within minutes to battle the fire.

Firefighters immediately began efforts to contain the blaze and succeeded in bringing the situation under control shortly after arrival. The fire was eventually extinguished within minutes, preventing it from spreading to a nearby eatery and several shops in the area.
Despite the quick intervention, the wooden structure and its contents were completely destroyed by the fire.
No casualties were recorded.
Authorities say preliminary investigations have begun to determine the cause of the fire while the Fire Service continues to intensify public education on fire safety in the region.
