Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah, the Member of Parliament for Ada and Deputy Majority Chief Whip in Parliament, has opened up about her early love life and marriage, revealing that she never dated before settling down.
In an interview on Adom TV M’ashasey3, she reflected on her youthful years and explained that her path into marriage was different from what many people experience.
According to her, she chose to marry at a young age rather than go through a period of dating or courtship. She said she had her first child at 19 after deciding to start a family.
“I married very early. By 19 years, I had given birth to my first child,” she stated.
The First Deputy Majority Whip in Parliament noted that before getting married she had never been in a romantic relationship or courtship with any man.
“When I was of age, I did not court. I have never dated or been in a courtship before,” she said.
Because of that, she emphasised that no one can claim to have been her former boyfriend.
“No one can call me their former girlfriend. The only thing someone can say is that I was a former wife. My first husband had me for the first time,” she added.
Madam Cudjoe-Ghansah explained that her experience stands in contrast to that of many people who go through several relationships before eventually getting married.
