President John Dramani Mahama, on March 2, 2026, visited the State House in Arusha for a courtesy meeting with Tanzanian leader Samia Suluhu Hassan, as part of efforts to deepen diplomatic relations between Ghana and Tanzania.
The high-level engagement focused on reinforcing the historic bonds shared by the two nations.

Discussions centred on expanding trade opportunities, promoting cultural collaboration, and enhancing cooperation within the framework of the African Union.
Upon arrival, President Mahama received an official welcome before proceeding to a private meeting with President Suluhu Hassan.
The talks later extended to include members of both delegations, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening bilateral and regional partnerships.
