In a significant boost for vocational training, the government has provided essential equipment to 25 learners and their masters in the Asutifi North District of the Ahafo Region. The initiative, part of the National Apprenticeship Programme (NAP), seeks to address youth unemployment.

During a brief ceremony held in Kenyasi, beneficiaries received various items, including 20 butterfly sewing machines, 4 industrial sewing machines, 4 netting machines, and hairdressing tools.

Emmanuel Konnor, Director of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) for Asutifi North, emphasized the importance of this support in creating employment opportunities for the youth.

He further stated that his office, in collaboration with the district assembly, has developed strategies to closely monitor the progress of the beneficiaries, ensuring that the government’s investment delivers tangible results.

Local leaders, including Gyantuahemaa Nana Yaa Kyerew and Akyeamehemaa Nana Akua, urged the masters to provide quality tuition and remain committed to training the learners.

They also encouraged the learners to focus on their education, avoid distractions, and assured that the program would be diligently supervised to maintain its integrity.
