Interim Asante Kotoko coach Prince Owusu has insisted that his side has put last Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Hearts of Oak behind them as they prepare to face Young Apostles.

The Porcupine Warriors suffered the setback at the Baba Yara Stadium on Matchday 22, but Owusu says the players’ response in training has restored his confidence ahead of their next outing.

“After the defeat to Hearts of Oak, on Tuesday and Wednesday, I observed their body language and the way they were performing in training. I saw that they’ve put it behind them and are now focused on the next game, which is very important,” he said.

“That gives me hope that these guys are really ready to do the job, and when they are ready, they deliver,” Owusu added.

Kotoko will travel to the Wenchi Sports Stadium for their Matchday 23 fixture, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 GMT.
