President John Dramani Mahama has extended warm greetings to Muslims across Ghana as the holy month of Ramadan begins.

In a message released on Friday, February 20, the President, together with his wife, Lordina Mahama, wished the Muslim community a spiritually fulfilling and blessed Ramadan.

He described the sacred period as a special time for reflection, renewal, and unity, urging Muslims observing the fast to seek purification of the heart and strengthen their faith.

President Mahama emphasised the values of compassion, generosity, and discipline, noting that beyond abstaining from food and drink, Ramadan calls for kindness, especially toward the less privileged.

He further encouraged Ghanaians to use the period to promote peace, love, and national unity.

“From my family, we wish you a spiritually fulfilling and blessed Ramadan. Ramadan Mubarak! May Allah accept your worship,” he said.
