The Queen Mother of Katiajeri in the Kpandai District, Nana Abunabaso I, ushered in the New Year with an act of compassion, donating food items and essential mineral supplements to patients at the Kpandai Polyclinic and the Afidom Medical Centre.
The gesture was aimed at providing relief and encouragement to patients while complementing healthcare delivery in the district. Distributed items included assorted foodstuffs and nutritional supplements to support patients’ recovery.
Presenting the donations to management of the two facilities, Nana Abunabaso I explained that the initiative is part of her long-standing commitment to community welfare, particularly in health and social support. She said the New Year outreach was intended to share hope, care, and kindness with patients and their families.
Health workers at both facilities expressed gratitude for the support, describing it as timely and beneficial. The Medical Superintendent of the Kpandai Polyclinic, Dr Abdul Aziz, noted that such gestures help boost patients’ morale and complement the efforts of medical staff in delivering quality healthcare.
Some beneficiaries also welcomed the donations, saying they eased their burden and made them feel remembered during the festive period.
