The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has confirmed that the previously delayed education sector allowances have now been paid.

The delay was attributed to a technical issue during the final payroll run for November 2025.

To avoid disrupting salary payments for all Government of Ghana workers, processing of the affected allowances was temporarily paused.

While the CAGD had initially indicated that the outstanding allowances would be paid alongside December 2025 salaries on 18 December, the Department clarified that payments were completed earlier, on 16 December, together with the December salaries.

The CAGD expressed regret for any inconvenience caused and reaffirmed its commitment to improving payroll efficiency to prevent similar delays in the future.

The Department also thanked affected workers for their patience and understanding during the period.
