Ghana head coach Otto Addo is confident the Black Stars can advance beyond the group stage at the 2026 World Cup.

Drawn into Group L alongside Panama, England, and Croatia, Addo acknowledged the challenge ahead but insisted qualification from the group is well within reach.

“It’s a tough group, it’s doable. There are worse groups, to be honest,” he said. “I’m happy, especially for our fans on the East Coast of the USA, that they will be able to see us. Also, for this I’m very happy.”

Ghana will kick off their campaign against Panama on 17 June, followed by matches against England on 23 June and Croatia to close out the group stage.

Addo believes a strong start could set the tone for the rest of the tournament.

“Especially if we have a good start against Panama, from there we can continue.

“Maybe from another perspective, or from England’s perspective, or Croatia’s perspective,” he added.

After a group-stage exit in Qatar 2022, the Black Stars are aiming to reach the knockout rounds for the first time since 2010.
