Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has emerged as the new frontrunner in the NDC flagbearership race, according to the latest Global InfoAnalytics online tracking poll released by the research firm led by Mussa Dankwah.

The December 2025 update places Dr Ato Forson at 27.9 percent, putting him slightly ahead of Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu, who recorded 27.8 percent.

This narrow but significant lead confirms Forson’s rapid rise from 13.0 percent in September 2025, making him the top preferred candidate among online respondents.

The results show that the Finance Minister registered the biggest jump among all candidates over the three-month period.

Scenario Without Haruna Iddrisu And The Vice President

Global InfoAnalytics’ committed voters’ model shows Forson extending his lead significantly when Haruna Iddrisu and Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang are excluded:

•	Ato Forson – 40 percent  
•	Johnson Asiedu Nketia – 32 percent  
•	Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa – 10 percent  
•	Julius Debrah – 9 percent  
•	Prof. Joshua Alabi – 6 percent  
•	Hon. Eric Opoku – 3 percent  

Voter Shift Dynamics

Analysis of redistributed support shows that of the 35 percent previously shared by Haruna Iddrisu and Prof. Naana Opoku-Agyemang:
• 34 percent shifted to Ato Forson
• 24 percent moved to Asiedu Nketia
• The remainder flowed to Ablakwa, Debrah, Alabi, and Eric Opoku

The data highlights a clear consolidation of support around Dr Ato Forson, reinforcing his new lead in the flagbearership race.
