Newage Agric Solutions donates GH¢80,000 to support 41st Farmers’ Day celebration

The CIMG 2024 Agribusiness Company of the Year, Newage Agric Solutions Ltd, has donated GH¢30,000 worth of food products and GH¢50,000 in cash to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) in support of the 41st Farmers’ Day celebration in the Volta Region.

The donated food items included bags of EVIVI Rice and EVIVI Soybean Oil, which the Ministry will distribute to support the celebration scheduled for Friday, December 5.

At a brief ceremony at MoFA headquarters in Accra, General Manager of Newage Agric Solutions Ltd, Martin Tettey Nartey, explained that the contribution was intended to show appreciation for Ghana’s hardworking farmers.

“We’re donating cash and locally produced rice and soybean oil worth GH¢30,000 from our subsidiary, EVIVI Foods Ltd, along with GH¢50,000 in cash, to support the 2025 Farmers’ Day celebration and recognize the farmers who ensure food security in our country,” he said.

Minister of Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku, thanked the company for its support, emphasizing the importance of motivating farmers to continue contributing to national food security.

“We value Newage Agric Solutions Ltd as a major stakeholder in Ghanaian agriculture. This support will directly benefit farmers and ultimately strengthen our country’s food production,” he assured, adding that the donations would be distributed to farmers without diversion.
