The Aboatia Family of Mpobi has paid an emotional tribute to the late Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, praising her as a courageous daughter whose lifelong dedication to service transformed lives and advanced the rights of women and children.

The tribute was delivered on Friday, November 28, during a solemn farewell ceremony at Independence Square, attended by relatives, dignitaries, and mourners.

In their statement, the family celebrated Nana Konadu for breaking barriers and elevating the Aboatia name “to places of honour both at home and across the world.” They said her public life embodied the biblical call to defend the voiceless and protect the vulnerable.

They highlighted her unwavering advocacy for women and children as a “living testimony” of her mission. “In her strength we saw purpose; in her compassion we saw hope,” the tribute read.

Although mourning her loss, the Aboatia Family emphasized that Nana Konadu’s legacy continues to guide and inspire. They described her as a true role model, their “Yaa Asantewaa,” and expressed deep pride in the powerful example she set for generations to come.
